A WINDSURFER has died after getting into difficulty in Hampshire water.
The man was pulled from the water after getting into difficulty just outside Langstone Harbour (pictured above) today.
The coastguard was contacted just after 12.15pm by a dinghy that had spotted windsurfing gear in the water and found the man face down.
He was puled on board and the dinghy took him to shore.
The Hayling Island Coastguard Rescue Team, the Coastugard helicopter from Lee-on-the-Solent, three RNLI lifeboats - one from Portsmouth and two from hayling Island - were sent to the scene, along with police and ambulance crews.
The man was flown by the Coastguard helicopter to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, Portsmouth, where we was pronounced deceased.
