Emergency repairs causing delays on major city road
MOTORISTS faced delays on a major route out of Southampton this afternoon.
Southampton City Council's highways team carried out emergency repairs in Millbrook Road westbound towards the New Forest.
Two lanes were closed just before the Millbrook Road flyover, and reopened around 4.40pm.
It comes two weeks after a broken drain in Millbrook Road eastbound caused five hours of traffic chaos and five mile tailbacks as two lanes were shut to allow for repairs.
