A MAN who assaulted a well-known Winchester busker has been fined £245.
Russell Loveland, of no fixed address, shoved guitarist Marvin Naylor and threatened to smash his instrument whilst he performed near The Broadway last month.
The 36-year-old was ordered to pay £100 compensation to Mr Naylor and £145 in court fines after pleading guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.
Mr Naylor said the man was shouting about buskers not paying rent.
Loveland was restrained by a group of women after the assault and was eventually caught on CCTV.
Magistrates also ordered him to attend alcohol treatment for six days.
