THE Christmas scene is all set for a festive concert, but the only thing missing is the choir.

Tickets have been sold and the venue booked but there will be nothing but a silent night if a replacement group of singers is not found.

Southampton Hospitals charity is appealing for anyone who is part of a choir to get involved in their Shining Stars Concert after a last minute cancellation.

The annual event is on Thursday, December 11 in St James Church and a choir is needed to sing two festive songs as part of the entertainment line-up.

Fundraising manager Suzie Simmons said: “We hope that we will be able to sing along to lots of Christmas carols and songs with any choirs that come forward, we urgently need someone to fill the slot in out charity service.”

The charity has created the Shining Star dedication tree where people can celebrate the life of someone who can’t be with them this year by writing a personal message to hang on the tree.

Any choir that would like to come forward and help the charity can call Alanna Lee on 023 8120 4713.
