SOUTHAMPTON’S City College played host to an imaginative jubilee celebration event to mark the city’s 50th anniversary last night.
Invited guests at The Hub auditorium witnessed a sneak preview of a new performing arts celebration of the Southampton Story, before certificates were presented to more than 20 individuals, businesses, and organisations that have pledged to work to support the city in a variety of ways.
The evening was hosted by the editor of the Southern Daily Echo, Ian Murray and attended by the Mayor of Southampton, Cllr Sue Blatchford and her predecessor Cllr Ivan White.
