THIS was the dramatic scene as a broken down van was engulfed in flames on Monday, (December 1).
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using one hose reel and luckily no-one was injured.
The incident happened at 3.41pm on the Evesham Road in Atwood Bank, near Redditch.
One Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crew from Redditch attended the scene and used breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera during its operation.
Officers from Operations Patrol Unit Worcestershire took to social media to praise the efforts of the firefighters, tweeting: “Fire service on scene at the vehicle fire earlier in Astwood Bank – doing a great job.”
