DAILY Echo readers could give brave Hampshire toddler James Mills the perfect early Christmas present.

An auction featuring shirts from major Premier League stars takes place tomorrow night, with funds going towards an operation to help him walk.

His mum Vicki has launched a campaign, backed by the Daily Echo, to raise £50,000 for the operation.

James, from Hythe, was born with cerebral palsy and is unable to walk unaided.

The NHS does not provide the operation he needs to make his dream of walking true.

So Vicki and her family and friends are having to raise the money themselves - and hope to raise thousands at tonight's raffle and auction.

Dozens of items will be on offer, including shirts from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City, who responded to her appeal for items.

Shirts and scarves signed by former England stars Frank Lampard and John Terry, and Chelsea hotshot Diego Costa are among the items on offer.

Other prizes include free tickets to attractions across the South and the chance to take part in a ghost hunt at Ford Widley near Fareham.

There will also be paintballing vouchers, a three-course lunch at the Hotel TerraVina, free golf days at Skylark Golf and Country Club and Dibden Golf Course, and a shirt signed by the entire Eastleigh FC squad.

Anyone wishing to help James achieve his ambition to walk can go online and visit justgiving.com/JamesWTW.

The raffle and silent auction takes place at the Roebuck Inn at Main Road, Marchwood, on Saturday December 13 at 5pm.
