Fire crews called to prison fire
FIRE crews were called to reports of a fire at Winchester Prison.
The blaze had been started in a cell at the prison and fire engines from Winchester, Eastleigh and Sutton Scotney were called out.
However on arrival at about 9pm last night, they found that prison officers had already extinguished the fire.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
