POLICE have issued this e-fit after a woman was the victim of a sexual assalt.

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 20s was approached by a man driving a silver Wolkswagen Golf.

The man offered her a lift and then allegedly sexually assaulted her, police say.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the car or its driver to come forward.

The incident happened in Jacobs Close, Andover, between 1am and 1.30am, on January 10.

DC Dan Leese said: “I’d like to appeal to anybody who may have seen this vehicle and driver or may have information about this incident.

"It’s occurred at night in a quiet area of Andover and is a rare occurrence.

“I would not advise people to panic but for females to take sensible precautions when walking alone at night and not to accept lifts from strangers.”
