HAMPSHIRE TV star Amanda Holden has today thrown her weight behind the Daily Echo’s campaign to find the person who dumped the dogs.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge joined shopkeepers and homeowners across the county in supporting the mission to find the culprit who cruelly abandoned the animals.

The actress, who grew up in Bishop’s Waltham – just five miles from one of the drop sites where three dogs were found – said she was “incredulous” about what had happened.

She said: “I have never understood why people decide to own dogs and then treat them so cruelly.

"They rely on humans entirely.

“Whoever abandoned them so recklessly and allowed them to get into the state they were found in absolutely deserves to be punished.

“It makes me incredulous that these sweet, loving animals could have ended up in such a terrible condition.

Thank goodness the RSPCA and the Daily Echo are starting this campaign.”

Ms Holden, a renowned doglover, regularly works with animal charities and even gave the thumbs-up to canine tricksters Ashleigh and Pudsey as they won Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.
