POLICE are hunting a gang of masked men who forced their way into a Hampshire home, threatening a young couple inside.

Three men, who all had their faces covered, forced entry to the house in Bellevue Terrace, Southampton, demanding the couple hand over their belongings.

The 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were terrified as the men raided their home before fleeing with a games console, two mobile phones and bank cards.

The suspects are described as being black, about 5ft 9ins tall. Two of them were a slim build and the third was bulky.

They were all wearing dark clothing. One had a gold emblem on the chest of his dark coloured hooded top.

Officers are not appealing for anyone with information about the burglary, which happened between 6am and 6.30am on Monday, to come forward.

Detective Constable Dal Andrews, from Southampton Central police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident.

“This was a frightening incident for the occupants and we are keen to track down those responsible.”

A 20-year-old woman, from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

She is on bail pending further inquiries until March 30.
