FOUR men suffered serious injuries today following a brawl in a Southampton bar.

Bar customers looked on in horror as a fight broke out at Tokyo Bar on Salisbury Street in the Bedford Place area at about 12.30am this morning.

Three men in their 20s and a 41-year-old man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries after they were assaulted at the premises.

All of the victims were taken to hospital for treatment and two of them are still receiving medical treatment at this time.

PC Nicola Yourdi, from Southampton Central police station, said: “There were lots of people at the bar at the time of the incident enjoying a night out.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and is able to provide us with information to assist our investigation.

“Door staff at the venue were quick to intervene and were able to keep the incident contained.”

A 22-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He is still being questioned by police at this time.
