A MAN has exposed himself to two teenage girls in Southampton in broad daylight.

Detectives are appealing for information after the man exposed imself in the direction of girls aged 13 and 14 in a wooded area off Barnes Road near Thornhill.

The girls were walking along Upper Deacon Road at the time of the incident, which happened between 3pm and 3.15pm on Friday, January 23.

Both girls ran from the area after seeing the man.

The suspect is described as white, around 30-years-old, of stocky build and approximately 5ft 9ins tall.

He is described as having short brown hair with a quiff at the front.

He was wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and black trainers.

Det con Andy Spooner, from Southampton CID, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has information that could assist our investigation. Did you see a man matching this description in the area?

“We haven’t received any other reports of this nature in the area recently but officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out extra patrols to provide reassurance to members of the public.”
