Spilled luggage causes dual carriageway traffic delays
MOTORISTS were caught in tailbacks tonight when a number of suitcases fell from a moving coach onto a busy dual carriageway.
The vehicle was travelling along the A31 eastbound carriageway near Ringwood when the items scattered onto the road at 9.15pm.
Police were called to the scene to help recover the luggage and search the carriageway and grass verges in case any others went astray.
No one was hurt during the incident.
But it caused delays on the eastbound carriageway between the Ringwood and Cadnam exits.
The road was cleared by 10pm.
