A mass cycling event due to be held in Hampshire today has been cancelled due to snow.
Hundreds of riders were due to take part in the sold out OS January Insanity Sportive starting in Winchester.
But due to snow falls overnight organisers have decided to cancel the event.
The race, which was due to start at Sparsholt Agricultural College, had two routes, one 41 miles the other 57 miles.
But a statement of the organisers website said: “Due to unpredicted snow we have had to cancel this mornings OS January Insanity Sportive.
“Please pass this on to any riders planning to attend. Alternative event details for riders to follow soon.
“Please share this information with any additional riders on the same booking.”
The route was due to head over Downs towards Kings Worthy and the Itchen Valley.
It was then due to climb the South Downs and onward to the Meon Valley.
Droxford and Corhampton Down were also on the route before Twyford and Otterbourne.
The final climb was through through Olivers Battery before back to the college.
