EVERYONE knows that he has already been to Southampton but his fans will be pleased to know that he is coming back.

Tinie Tempah, who famously rapped about having been to Southampton but not Scunthorpe, will be performing an exclusive gig in one of the city’s nightclubs.

It has been revealed that the rapper will be taking to the stage at Switch club in April to promote his new single and album as well as meeting and greeting fans after the show.

But the club’s owners are warning Tinie fans to act quickly as they are predicting that tickets will sell out fast as the star is only doing a few shows across the UK.

He is the latest in a string of big names to head to the Southampton club, which has been totally transf o r m e d since it’s time as the Square Balloon.

The owners are keen to make it a top music venue for the city with tickets for Radio One DJ Annie Mac selling out within an hour while VIP tickets for the Mansion Party with Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star Scott Disick sold out in minutes.

Tinie will perform live during a set, which will no doubt include his BRIT award-winning single of the year, Pass Out, which includes the infamous line “I bin Southampton but I’ve never bin to Scunthorpe”.

Ryan Keary, one of the owners, said: “Tinie and his management have decided to play a few selected shows in the UK to promote his new single and album.

“It’s another great coup for Switch and gives a bit of musical diversity to what we normally offer Southampton.

“He’s someone we worked with years ago, before Pass Out was big, so it’s wicked to bring him back to our own venue this time when he’s ten times bigger.”

Tinie will be performing live at Switch on April 2.

Tickets cost £8 and doors open at 10pm.
