A HAMPSHIRE pub will be calling last orders for the last time today.

The Bent Brief pub in Southampton, which has been a mainstay of the city’s music scene, will serve up its last pints tonight.

The pub is run by joint landlords Andy Wade and Maureen Evans, who decided against renewing the lease on the pub in Lodge Road, which is owned by Punch Taverns.

To mark the occasion, there was a series of performances last weekend, but today is set to be a quieter affair.

The future of the pub is unclear. Punch Taverns, who own the building, say that the pub has been placed on the open market and they are in advanced negotiations with an individual purchaser.
