SCOTTISH Gas and charity Help the Aged have launched an initiative to get customers to save lives by helping to cut cold-related deaths in Scotland.

The campaign, also supported by celebrities such as actor Jeremy Irons and Big Breakfast presenter Kelly Brook, is hoping to raise awareness of fuel poverty and, over the next three months, Scottish Gas customers will find inside every bill information on its effects and what action can be taken to combat it.

They have also set up a phone line with a message from Irons and for every call made, #1 from the cost of the call will be matched by Scottish Gas and #2 will be given to the partnership's fuel poverty campaign.
