The Princess of Wales's former secretary has resigned from her memorial fund, it emerged yesterday. The departure of Ms Jackie Allen, 35, severs the fund's final link with the hand-picked team who worked with the princess at Kensington Palace before her death in August 1997. Ms Allen's resignation from the fund-raising department comes just weeks after Diana's butler Paul Burrell, who worked alongside her, lost his job with the organisation. At the time Ms Allen admitted fearing that her future with the organisation may be in doubt.
