qItalian champions Juventus said yesterday they had sold 40,000 season tickets for the coming season and were on target to break their club record, set last season at 40,338.
Juventus, 25 times Italian champions, are traditionally Italy's best-supported club but many of their fans follow from afar and the club's 60,000-capacity Delle Alpi stadium is seldom full.
They plan to move to a smaller stadium on the site of their former Comunale stadium for next season.
