A GLASGOW computer specialist wants to use his expertise to help charity - in memory of his late brother.

Alan Neary, who runs Kiswebs, has set up a project dedicated to brother Stephen and is urging charities or voluntary organisations to come forward.

With his team of experts they will create and design a website for a good cause - a project that can cost up to £8000 for commercial firms.

The inspiration stems from a similar project last year which saw him team up with the father of a young road crash victim.

Ivano Pasquali, 57, from Bishopbriggs, had set up a website to help bereaved families following the death of his son Riccardo, 20, who died in a road accident in Eaglesham in November 2005.

Following an Evening Times appeal for help, Ivano and Alan worked together to transform the site, www.neveraway.

co.uk Now Alan hopes to be able to help another charitable organisation.

The project is a tribute to Stephen, 43, who died after being attacked in an incident in Kilsyth in 2006.

Alan, 42, said: "Working with Ivano inspired me and we have decided that each year Kiswebs will create a website for a similar worthy cause. We're urging people to log on to our website and either groups, themselves or other people can recommend a worthy cause.

"They may already have one but don't know how to take it forward."

Once selected, Alan and his team will design a site and set up so it can be handed over to the organisation to be able to run it themselves. Groups have a deadline of March 31 to register.
