MOTORISTS travelling through Hampshire are facing traffic chaos.

Heavy traffic has been reported on the A3090 through Ower and on the A36 Salisbury Road through West Wellow.

One motorist told the Daily Echo traffic was at a standstill from the Ower services into Romsey.

It is unclear what has caused the hold-ups.

It comes after one lane of the M27 was reopened after a crash on between an oil tanker and a car and another crash on the Redbridge causeway which saw three people rushed to Southampton General Hospital.

Motorists travelling through the A31 were also stuck in traffic tonight due to drivers slowing to look at a police speed trap near Cadnam.
