FIRE crews are currently tackling a blaze at a house in Chandler's Ford last night.
Four crews from Redbridge, Eastleigh and St Marys stations were at the scene of the fire.
Leigh Road has been cordoned off between Bournemouth Road and Falkland Road while fire crews deal with the incident.
At least one resident has been evacuated.
Smoke billowed from the roof when firefighters arrived while crowds have gathered outside to see the crews tackle the flames.
Police at the scene have said there have not been any injuries.
The Daily Echo understands one man was rescued from the house and is currently being treated by paramedics.
Residents in neighbouring houses were evacuated from their homes.
One woman who asked not to be named, said: "The first I knew about it was when someone knocked on my door and said you should probably leave the house.
"The fire was all of the way up the roof. You could hear popping and banging coming from inside the house."
Fire crews are currently investigating the house and the fire is now out.
