Woman dies at care home after suffering dementia
AN ELDERLY woman died at a Hampshire care home after living with advanced dementia.
An inquest heard how Violet Penhale, 91, died at Westholme Care Home in Harestock Road, Winchester, soon after developing a “chesty”
cough.
She died on April 14 from bronchopneumonia, the hearing in Winchester was told.
Senior coroner for south Hampshire, Grahame Short, recorded a verdict of death due to natural causes.
