River rescue to pull person from water in Southampton
A MAN'S body has been pulled from the water in Southampton this afternoon.
Hampshire Constabulary are now investigating after the discovery at 1.20pm today in the River Itchen.
The body was pulled from the river near to the Itchen Bridge. A lifeboat had been deployed to try and rescue the individual, before it was determined they were dead.
Police say the body is that of a man aged in either his 20s, 30s or 40s.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
