JURASSIC Park fan Simon Hart just had to invite some dinosaurs to his wedding.

Thanks to the magic of digital technology Southampton photographer Lou Osborne-Pass was able to oblige.

The photo was taken at a suitable “Jurassic-style” setting at the reception venue Honeybrook Farm, near Wimborne, where Simon, his bride Sophie and some willing guests pretended to flee in terror from a T-Rex, which Lou dropped into the image back in his studio.

“This is the first I have been asked to do something like this it is becoming very popular, so I am expecting to do more,” said photographer Lou, who is based in Bitterne.

“I have had many odd photo requests but this is the first using post production. This shot required all the participants to really act like they were being chased and were really scared, otherwise the whole effect would be ruined and is something more tricky to rectify in post production.

“I wish Simon and Sophie all the best in the future, they are a fantastic couple and great fun with such fantastic friends, which helped make these shot work.

Simon met his bride Sophie Herring in Kenya where she was on holiday and he was working for a charity.

Their wedding had an African theme but Simon admits that given a free hand he would have gone for full-on dinosaur-themed event.

“Is saw the film when I was 10 and I have been a fan ever since,” said Simon, 31, a primary school teacher. “I would have loved Sophie to have walked down the aisle to the theme music but I couldn’t persuade her.”

Sophie, 27, works in administration for the NHS in Bournemouth where the couple live.
