TIME IS running out to get your hands on tickets for the ultimate Strictly night out in Hampshire.

There is less than two weeks before the glitz and glamour of Strictly Come Dancing waltzes its way to the county for a very special charity event.

Southampton Does Strictly will see stars from the show descend on the Hilton, at the Ageas Bowl, to judge ten people who have dared to take to the ballroom floor for a good cause.

The event is being organised by the People’s Strictly star Heather Parsons, from Romsey and will raise funds for her charity, Where There’s a Will, which supports families and patients in Southampton General Hospital’s intensive care unit.

Heather’s professional dance partner from the BBC1 show, Ian Waite will be on the judging panel, along with Strictly professional Joanne Clifton and former Strictly contestant Russell Grant.

The contestants are all well known faces within the Hampshire community and they have been partnered with dance professionals from the region’s dance schools, including the DM dance centre.

As well as the dancing, the night, on July 5, will include a three-course meal, an auction and a special performance by Heather and Ian, plus the chance to take to the dance floor to live music from local band Daisy and the Wedding Toasters.

Heather said: “Strictly is such a well loved family show and it is so hard to get tickets to be part of it but by running a local event supported by Strictly stars it means that everyone who loves it can get a ticket and be involved.

“Don’t miss your chance to dine, watch and maybe dance, with these ballroom super stars whilst helping the city’s most precious resource, the intensive care unit at Southampton General Hospital.”

Tickets cost £50, or £450 for a table, or £75 for VIP tickets.
