THREE long-distance lawnmower riders will cut a dash on Hampshire’s roads next week.
The trio will head through Winchester, Cadnam and Ringwood on Thursday on their specially adapted, road legal ride-on mowers as part of an epic charity challenge - dubbed the Lawn Way Round - in aid of Crohn’s & Colitis UK.
The team was due to set off today on their seven-day journey around Britain, starting and finishing at Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire, and clocking up 2,200 miles on the way.
Last year the trio - Paul Tindall, from Wimborne, Dorset, and Daz Whitehead and Tony Dwight from the north west, rode from Land’s End to John O’Groats for the same charity.
