KEANO the nosy Husky obviously let the sunshine go to his head yesterday.

While playing in a garden in Hampshire the young dog got his head stuck in an ornamental wall.

A neighbour alerted the dog's owner who then called the fire service for help.

Hampshire Fire Service rural safety officer Anton Phillips responded, firstly giving the owner advice on keeping the dog calm until his arrival at the house in Whitchurch.

Once at the scene, he was able to free the six-month-old inquisitive pup using a bolster to chisel off the area of wall that had trapped its head.

It may not be the story of the year (pity echo chose not to show a pic) but it was considered important enough to hit BBC news!

Quite frankly as an ex pat I like a change and it's been nothing but stabbings and other violent acts for months - what happened to the Southampton I grew up in?

Dog nought, Wall one

Dog's statement to police-

>>I was just walking past when this wall came out and grabbed me by the neck.<<

And it wasn't even a Southampton wall!
