TWO of the four people who arranged a sham marriage in Winchester have been jailed.
Devine Abanda and Armand Djedje, 31, were given 15 months and 18 months respectively, at a hearing at Winchester Crown Court today, for arranging the hoax wedding last year.
Cameroonian national 27-year-old Abanda - the groom - bought the services from Djedje and Olivier Attie - who has "disappeared" - in order to remain in the UK.
The bride, Olivia Godefroy, 22, who pleaded guilty early on, was given 12 months for the conspiracy and 15 months for charges relating to bigamy, as her wedding to Abanda was her third. Her prison sentence was suspended for two years.
A warrant was first issued for Olivier Attie, 31, when the three were found guilty following the trial in June.
His whereabouts and real identity are currently unknown.
Armand Djedje
