A SOUTHAMPTON VEGAN baker, who runs a vegan her one-person cake business from her family kitchen, has been nominated for a prestigious national award.
Hannh Pinchin, of Hannah Banana Bakery, is delighted to have received a nomination for the Vegfest Awards.
“I’m really thrilled about being nominated as it’s such a huge event,” said Hannah.
“I’ve been going to the Bristol and London ones since they started. There are so many fantastic businesses, I really don’t mind
if I win or not I’m just super excited to get a mention.
"I’m only a one-person baking business located in Southampton, and some of these businesses are huge!”
Hannah has already won Best Cake at the last two UK vegan awards, the PETA great
vegan bake off 2013, Feast Your Eyes on Vegan award 2013, and Best Vegan Cupcake at the Bournemouth cupcake fair 2012, and 2nd place in the PETA great vegan bake off 2014.
Her cakes, biscuits and other goodies are made without any animal ingredients, such as eggs, butter, milk and or honey.
She said: “I’m vegan so I set my bakery up to provide cruelty free cakes but I have many customers with allergies or who avoid eggs due to religious reasons.
“I’m very passionate about making sure no one goes without treats.”
