POLICE are investigating a third armed robbery in less than a week after a kebab van was raided by two men.

Officers in Southampton are appealing for information after the incident which happened just before midnight on Sunday, July 26.

The two men approached the van in a layby near the White Swan pub in Mansbridge Road carrying a metal pole.

The pair threatened the owner and demanded money from the till.

No one was hurt but the men took £130 in cash and ran off towards Haskins.

The two men have been described as white and both had sun tans and both aged in their twenties.

The first man was around 5ft 10, had a shaved head and was wearing a grey zip hooded top.

The second man was around 6ft.

It comes after two other armed robberies this week but police have said none of the incidents are linked to each other.

The other two incidents were a raid on Santander bank in Burgess Road with two masked men carrying hammers on Tuesday and last Thursday, when two masked men walked into Coral in Eastleigh with an axe.
