A registrar has conducted the wedding ceremony for her own daughter calling it an "incredible experience".

Elaine Cesar, who works as an events manager for the Isle of Wight Council but is also a qualified registrar for the local authority, read the vows at Emma Cesar and Ashley Green's wedding at Northwood House in Cowes.

Mrs Cesar said: "It was an incredible experience and honour to take the wedding ceremony for my daughter and is something I never dreamt of.

"It was a very emotional ceremony sharing with family and friends, but I loved every minute of it and had to blink back a few tears. There were plenty of tears from the guests.

"It was an amazing occasion and one all our family will never forget."
