Two hurt in town centre stabbing

TWO men were rushed to hospital today suffering from stab wounds after an incident in Eastleigh.
The emergency services received a call at 11.45am after reports of a public disorder taking place in the street involving two males.
Officers cordoned off the scene, in the town's High Street close to David Evans estate agents, where the trouble flared.
Both men, believed to be in their mid 20s, have been taken to Southampton General Hospital.
One witness, who works in a nearby shop, told how she heard loud shouting and when she went outside she saw a man with stab wounds to his neck.
Anyone with information should contact police in Eastleigh on 0845 045 4545.

Its tuning into a rough area where noone wants to live, luckily house prices are making sure people cant.
Someone has been stabbed, hopefully both will be ok. As for deserving it, youv gotta be one **** of a **** to even think that let alone actually share the thought with others.
But I would like to say, if they were fighting with intent of causing harm, then not only should they pull through but they should then be put behind bars and taken off the streets to ensure decent innocent people dont get hurt by the same thing

Id just like to say im from Eastleigh and the first to say its full of chavs and townies ranging from the age of 10 to bloody 30 so mid 20s, yeah, could be chavs. But not quite the point. I live literally five minutes away from where the attack happened, and though I am very much aware of the reputation this town has, it is always a shock when something like this happens so close to home. I'm just thankful it wasn't any worse than it was.
I cannot understand why people would use something like this as an excuse to write abuse about not only my town, but also generalise with nasty, hurtful comments about the people who live in it. If you honestly believe that every single person who lives here fits the descriptions that you have written, you are clearly very narrowminded and it's no wonder this country is going the way it is. It's easy to categorise people, and jump on the 'blame the chavs' bandwagon. It's not so easy to look at yourself and question your own prejudices, but I recommend you give it a go before letting your ignorance loose somewhere like this.

Eastleigh was voted in the top ten places to live in the UK. (don't know how, but it was)
The police are making a concerted effort to combat the problems in Eastleigh, see the obvious presence of PCSO's as evidence.
Eastleigh council however has blocked several efforts to improve the situation, like the attempt to get legislation in place that would give the police more powers to handle people drinking in the streets. Blocked by the council.

Also, it's not fair to blame this on Eastleigh and the people that live here. I have lived here for 5 years (previously from Portsmouth) and this is the first stabbing I have heard of in Eastleigh. Most of the people here are svery nice but yes, there are a small group of people here who think that they can do what they like and behave like animals. It's sick!!
My thoughts go out to the people who were hurt in this incident. No matter what they were arguing about no-one deserves to be stabbed! My thoughts also go out to the people's families. I hope it all gets sorted and the people get better.

Anyone capable of using "ur" as a word deserves to have every single hair waxed from their body, just to prevent it getting in the way of them then having the correct spelling of "your" tattooed onto every inch of their scrawny, under-educated carcasses.

Its a bit sad really!seriously, why ARE people using this unfortunate event to attack eastleigh residents? yes the place is a complete hole in places, but in others i\'ve found it way better than mansbridge, portswood and even highfield and upper shirley. puh, i bet it\'s just rich emo college kids having a pop, because they\'re angry that some townie made fun of their clothes/hair, and they never had the guts to have a shout back. this is a sad situation, please don\'t attack an entire community based on your dealings with a bunch of outcast kids you\'ve seen running around in shellsuits in the high street. there are plenty of good people in this town. best wishes to the two guys recovering in hospital and good luck to the police on sorting this out.
