IT was a case of DIY SOS for staff from a Hampshire firm when they turned out in force to transform a children’s hospice.
Workers from B&Q, including a director David Lennon, were set to work on landscaping the gardens of Naomi House and Jack’s Place at Sutton Scotney, near Winchester.
The team also worked on a wendy house that will be used by the children and young adults who are cared for at the hospice.
The B&Q workers were personally thanked by the chief executive of Naomi House, Mark Smith.
The hospice which opened in the late 1990s provides respite care for hundreds of children with life-limited conditions.
The hospice on Stockbridge Road is holding an open day and fete on Saturday September 12 from 11am to 4pm.
Entry is £3 for adults, £1 for children with under-fives admitted free. There will be guided tours.
