PLANNING officers refused plans for an access road in Rownhams.
The plan to construct the road which will link Romsey Road to land at the rear of 66 Nutfield Road is was refused by planning officers at Test Valley Borough Council.
They said that it would have required vehicles to slow down to a much slower speed than those turning at the roundabout with Balmoral Way which would interfere with traffic.
Planners also said that the access road would have required vegetation to be removed and say it is “out of character” and would cause harm to the area.
