THE world of gaming was brought to life in Southampton.
Hundreds of gamers from across Hampshire put their skills to the test at Southampton Game Fest in Engine Rooms near West Quay Road.
The event was organised to raise funds for Special Effect charity which creates technology which allows disabled people to enjoy games.
There was multitude of tournaments aimed at all skill levels featuring classics like Mario Kart to and fighting game Mortal Combat X.
Games on display included the newly released Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Assasins Creed Syndicate, while there was also a virtual reality game which proved to be a huge hit with punters.
While keen gaming fans had a rare chance to get their hands on up-coming titles which have not been released as exhibitors from Nintendo and Ubisoft were at he event.
It was hosted hosted by several Hampshire companies and industry representatives, Custard Trout, iRepair, TheBit, and StreetPass Southampton.
Organiser Patrick Day-Childs, said: "The response we have had from developers, publishers and punters has been really good."
