A CHARITY chairman has announced he is stepping down after nearly five years in the role.
Trustees, staff and volunteers at Wessex Cancer Trust are thanking Norman Wood, who will stay on as a trustee and continue to work as a director of WCT Wessex Ltd.
Keith Wood, who has been a trustee at the charity since last year and is a former leader of Winchester City Council, will take over the role.
He said: "I'm really proud to take up the position.
"It's an exciting time for the organisation, with new shops and centres opening, and our fantastic new headquarters.
"I look forward to seeing all staff and volunteers in the near future to continue learning about the great work we do, and find out how I can support that success."
