A HAMPSHIRE charity used a touch of Hollywood-esque glitz to advertise an upcoming major fundraising event.

Wessex Heartbeat, which supports the Wessex Cardiac Centre in Southampton, is hosting a ball at the new Hilton hotel at the Ageas Bowl on October 17.

The charity’s chief executive, John Munro, teamed up with ballroom dancer Natalie James to promote the event.

Dressed in their evening finery, the glamorous pair staged a dance routine in front of a gleaming red Ferrari at the Meridien garage in Lyndhurst.

The theme of the ball, which will include music by Hampshire band Madison Heights, is ‘a night at the movies’.

Tina Richardson, the charity’s event manager, said: “We’re very excited to be hosting a ball at the lovely new Hilton Hotel, which is a truly fantastic venue.

“The evening will be full of surprises and the guests will have a chance to bid for the many exciting auction prizes while raising money for a deserving cause.”

The ticket price includes a drinks reception and a three-course dinner, with coffee and entertainment.

People wishing to book should call 023 8070 6095 or e-mail tina@heartbeat.org.uk.
