A HAMPSHIRE pub is stepping back in time today, giving punters the chance to experience life as a 17th century soldiers – warts and all.
The Hiltonbury Farmhouse, in North Millers Dale, Chandler’s Ford, will host the Civil War re-enactment event from noon today.
Visitors to the pub will be offered the chance to experience being a pikeman or a musketeer with help from the Sealed Knot company, who will be setting up a living history camp, as well as carrying out drills and training displays.
They will also provide authentic cooking displays from the era.
There will also be a hog roast, bouncy castle and beer festival, plus live music from the band Revival, which will start from 8.30pm.
It is a free event and all are welcome to enjoy the festivities.
