IT’S the sort of event where strong-arm tactics are actively encouraged.
Some of Britain’s most powerful sportsmen will be flexing their muscles at a Hampshire gym today when they take part in a training session.
Joining them at the all-day workout at Room 13 Fitness Development in Pylewell Road, Hythe, will be Britain’s strongest man, Eddie Hall, 27, from Stoke-on- Trent.
Organiser Julian Howard, of Eastleigh, said: “We have people coming from gyms across the south for a strongman events training session and seminar with the newly-crowned Eddie.
“Eddie has also competed at the last three world’s strongest man events and recently broke the world record in Deadlift by lifting 463kgs."
“It will be the first time that someone of his calibre in the sport has been to the gym.”
