ORGANISERS of a new festival in Hampshire have declared it a day out to remember.

More than 2,000 people flocked to Graze Festival, held in Twyford near Winchester.

The event which is in its first year saw a day of music in two stages, from acts like the Blockheads and Los Pacaminos fronted by 1980s legend Paul Young.

Organisers are locals Roger Walker, Timothy Smith and Nick Seagrave who hope the new festival held at Humphries Farm, will be expanded next year.

They say that this year’s event has raised more than £10,000 that will go to charities in Twyford.

Roger Walker, said: “I think it was amazing It was perfect festival weather and everyone had an excellent time.

“Everybody was saying when is next year, and we will certainly be running it next year We are looking at the idea of holding it over two days because of this year’s success.”
