A TROUPE of African warriors will be coming to Hampshire next month as part of a UK tour.
The Osiligi Maasai Warriors will be appearing at Hamble Memorial Hall on Saturday 3rd October at 7.30pm.
They will be performing to raise money for their families and their community situated near Nairobi in Kenya.
Over the years the troupe and their families, have moved from abject poverty where water came from a stagnant pond.
Now they have fresh clean water in two points in their community.
The Troupe’s success has seen the kerosene – used to light their homes – replaced by solar power, the building of a new church, a new clinic and, most wonderfully, a new school.
The latter now has 165 pupils, all sponsored by UK supporters.
Next month sees the start of the building of an orphanage.
Described as “a sensation to watch” the show tells the story of their lives, and the audience is encouraged to take part.
Tickets are £10 adults, £8 concessions via ticketsource.co.uk/hambleplayers or via the box office on 023 8044 0660.
