It’s been named The Season Of Norwegian, and will see two of the world’s most stunning cruise ships sailing into Southampton this month.

The luxury liner is offering Echo readers the chance to win a visit to one of the ships to include a tour and sumptuous lunch on board.

Norwegian Cruise Lines will be bringing Norwegian Epic and also the company’s brand new cruise ships Norwegian Escape to Southampton in October.

The cruise company is offering cruise fans the chance to win one of five golden tickets to tour Norwegian Epic and enjoy a fabulous lunch on board when she is in the Hampshire port on October 19.

• A floating marvel, Norwegian Epic is one of the most amazing ships afloat and following her refit in dry dock will feature the world’s first Cavern Club afloat – a link with the legendary club in Liverpool that was made famous by the Beatles and so many other Mersey Beat music artists.

• Norwegian Escape will be the largest ship ever built for Norwegian Cruise Line and will arrive in Southampton at the start of her inaugural season. She will spend just two days in the Hampshire port before leaving for her home port of Miami.

After arriving on October 27 for a one-day sailing, she will then take on board invited guests on October 28 for a special tour and visit that will mark her inaugural event before her naming ceremony in the USA.

The 164,600 gross ton ship will be carrying 4,200 guests to tropical Caribbean. Norwegian Escape’s signature hull artwork is designed by marine wildlife artist and champion of ocean conservation, Guy Harvey.

Accommodation includes the company’s signature luxury ship–within-a-ship complex: The Haven by Norwegian; along with Studios, designed and priced for solo travellers; and many options for families, multi-generational groups, spa enthusiasts and more.

Norwegian Escape’s dining and entertainment will include outposts of several popular land-based outlets, including the first-ever floating Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant and Miami’s oldest and most legendary bar, Tobacco Road. Norwegian Escape will also feature the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, a music venue and outdoor bar on The Waterfront that will feature live nightly performances where guests can enjoy the sounds of the tropics.

The ship will feature the largest ropes course at sea, a three-storey multiplex of heart-pounding challenges complete with two planks and five Sky Rails, zip tracks that allow guests to soar through the air.

Norwegian Escape’s Aqua Park will be the largest at sea and includes a new Aqua Racer slide, while the expansive sports complex boasts a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle miniature golf course.

Adding to the family fun, Norwegian Escape will also feature an expanded Kids’ Aqua Park; entertainment from Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids; along with the line’s first dedicated nursery for young cruisers two and under.
