BLACKFIELD & Langley welcome returning striker Dan Cann not short of goals after a 4-0 thrashing of Bermerton Heath Harlequins in the Russell Cotes Cup last night at Gang Warily.

Cann will be available for Saturday's Sydenhams Premier Division home match against Moneyfields (3pm) after signing from Southern League South & West high-fliers Winchester City.

The striker returns to the Waterside with B&L getting back to full form after a shock 6-0 defeat in the FA Vase at Plymouth Parkway just over a week ago.

Dan Munday opened the scoring just before half-time against Harlquins before Liam Robinson doubled the advantage soon into the second-half.

Midfielder Robinson netted his second before Samuel Lanahan sealed the victory.

Wessex Premier leaders Salisbury meanwhile were knocked out of the Salisbury Hospital Cup by Laverstock & ford 2-1.

Goals by Ollie Hoare and Lewis Wykes sealed victory in the charity competition. Jack Vallis was on target for the Whites.

Horndean kept the pressure on the summit of the Wessex with a 5-3 goal-glut victory over Cowes Sports at  Westwood Park.

Nathan Kirby's double, Matthew Burt, Ryan Thomas and Sam Smart all hit the target as Deans raced into a 3-0 lead at the break and then netted twice in the second period to seal victory.

Eighth-placed Sports hit back through Charlie Smeeton, Aidan Sainsbury, Jordan Browne in the second 45.

Elswhere in the top-flight, Lymington defeated lowly Alresford 2-0.

Darren Ritchie and Nathan Hurst were on target as Lymington climbed to seventh.
