POLICE officers have been searching a residential street this afternoon - although are unable to say what they were looking for.
Officers were photographed at lunchtime in Watson Court, Hedge End, by residents.
When contacted by the Daily Echo, Hampshire Constabulary were unable to say what the officers had been doing.
Neighbours speculated that a burglary had taken place and that someone had been attacked, but a spokesperson said they could find no record of such crimes in the Hedge End area.
The images were taken at 12.46pm today, and show three officers looking in drains and gardens.
As many as 10 officers are believed to have been involved, and they were on the scene from early morning until late afternoon.
