HE'S coming home!

Southampton superstar Craig David will headline the city's second Common People festival next summer, the Daily Echo can today reveal.

A massive hit at last year's Bestival, his esteemed TS5 show combines massive old skool anthems, R&B, swing beat, garage, bashment, and chart topping house.

The star, who grew up on Southampton's Holyrood estate and attended Bellemoor School, will treat his home crowd at Southampton Common to some of his biggest hits including Walking Away, Fill Me In and 7 Days as well as new material.

His triumphant homecoming headline set, on Saturday May 28, will follow hip-hop powerhouse Public Enemy, lyrical acrobat Ghostpoet, b-boy originators The Sugarhill Gang, glossy rockers Don Broco and super-talented theatre troupe West End Kids.
