AN INTERNATIONAL fugitive is thought to be hiding out in Southampton, police have revealed.

Kamil Nikodem, 26, is a Polish national, and is wanted under a European Arrest Warrant for possession of drugs with intent to supply in Poland.

Nikodem has significant previous convictions for violence including armed robbery and is believed to be in the Southampton area.

Hampshire police has issued an appeal asking for the public’s help in finding him, but are stressing he should not be approached.

The 26-year-old is described as white, with short blonde hair, of broad build and 5 ft 8 in. he also has a large tattoo on the left side of his neck.

A spokesman said: “Anyone who believes they may have seen Nikodem are advised not to approach him but to contact police straight away, this can be done in confidence.”

Anyone who knows Nikodem and who maybe helping him to evade the authorities are being warned that they too face criminal charges and risk prison.

The spokesman added: “Associates and friends should be aware that if they are found to be assisting Nikodem to avoid arrest or harbouring him they may be committing an offence and will be liable for arrest and a term of imprisonment themselves.”
