POLICE have released new CCTV images in a bid to track down the man who robbed a beauty salon and tried to take money from an amusement arcade in Southampton.

This is the man officers want to question about the robberies two robberies between 5.20pm and 5.40pm on Saturday.

It comes after a 26-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was released without charge after being eliminated from police inquiries.

The first incident happened at Toe-tal Beauty Salon in Portsmouth Road.

It was reported a man entered the salon and threatened a member of staff with a belt.

He demanded money and left with £14 from the till.

The day’s takings had already been cashed up.

Police believe that the same man entered the Quicksilver Amusement Arcades on Victoria Road shortly afterwards.

The man again demanded money but left empty handed.
