A DAMAGED pathway and open space have been repaired thanks to a £90,000 scheme.
The space, alongside Bartley Water in Totton, runs from the Rumbridge Street car park upstream to Bartley Park, was damaged by severe weather last winter.
It has since been repaired thanks to a £90,000 New Forest District Council engineering project.
Cllr Sophie Beeton, environment portfolio holder at the council, said: “A substantial part of the bank had collapsed and the footpath which ran along it was also damaged.
"This is a well-used path and I am really pleased we were able to carry out these substantial repairs, with our contractors Civils UK, and restore this important public open space for the local people.”
